I decided to give this place a try. I walked in to a clean, well maintained salon. The decor is different from most other nail salons. It was bright and inviting. My nail tech greeted me and was friendly. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, a very simple solid color with one accent finger done in a glitter type polish. She picked out the polishes and began to work on my nails. When she began clipping and shaping my nails, I noticed she wasn't doing a very good job. When she completed the shaping she showed me my nails and asked for approval on the shape and length. I appreciated that. However, the nails were uneven in length and each one was longer on one side than the other. I asked her to correct them and that's when things changed. She did correct them but the second time around, they were still rough to the touch. Sharp on the ends if you will. She corrected that at my request. The solid color went on fine. She then applied the glitter polish and it was transparent. I asked if she had a different polish. Then she tells me she's going to charge me $2 extra for this glitter powder. She never explained she was using something that would cost me extra. When she finished applying it, I noticed it was very rough and not smooth at all. She said that's just how it is, it's glitter. I explained that wasn't okay. She then filed/buffed the polish and put a clear coat over it. That solved the problem. However, she missed a spot on the side of my nail completely, that I had to ask her to fix and then while my solid shellac color was being applied, she bumped my finger and smudged it. I pointed out the flaw and she said, "it's okay, it's shellac, it won't be noticeable." Well, she's wrong. Where she bumped it, is matte, where as the rest of the nail has a sheen to it. It's been 2 days since I was there and the glitter polish is almost all of the way off. My solid color is chipping and coming off. I would advise against this salon until their techs get better.
