nightmare

I thought this place was great. I looked past the fact that everytime I had an appointment the owner was late, and when she showed up she ate lunch right then in front of everyone. I got a great dress and a good price, but I bought it knowing I had to pay to fix things, like a broken zipper. The owner said every time that her seamstress was great and it would be cheap. Well the seamstress doesn't know how to alter at all. She kept my money that I stupidly paid her ahead of time and I ended up having to pay someone else to fix her mistakes. To make things worse the owner laughed about it andoffered no apologies! STAY AWAY the headaches aren't worth themoney you save!

Bought my wedding dress here - a beautiful Mori Lee mermaid gown. Alterations went smoothly. However, when I brought the dress back to be sold on consignment (when the shop was still in Bethlehem), the shop then moved to Whitehall without any notice to me. Now, two years later, I am unable to get in touch with the owner regarding my dress. She's probably sold it and kept the money for herself.

Pl Bridal is a lifesaver providing great gowns and great alterations at amazing prices.

It was such a pleasure to work with Angela and Susan.

Susan completely transformed a size 14 lace ballroom bridal gown to a size 0 fitted gown. The gown had so much lace and beading to deal with but Susan redesigned it perfectly. It truly ended up a custom gown with a perfect fit..

Everyone at the wedding agreed the gown was stunning.

I would recommend the shop to anyone looking for a very special look and experience.

I had several balls to attend in NYC and Susan Christopher both restyled (velvet and lace) and custom-made dresses (silks, brocade and velvet) for me to attend these formal occassions.

Everyone loved my dresses and I got tons of compliments on the unique detailing that she added to the dresses!!!

My experience in the store was postive and fun. Both Susan and Angela provided suggestions to solve my dress dilemmas in an affordable manner. I received the personal attention and customer service that is missing from today's ready-to-wear stores. This was the kind of interaction my godmother used to talk about getting with the high-end stores like Bonwit Teller, Lord & Taylor, Sachs, etc. Who knew I could find it in the Lehigh Valley?

Susan's workmanship on the dresses was amazing, both inside and out. The dresses fit beautifully and were very comfortable (as I had to eat and dance in them). I could tell that she has had years of design and dressmaking experience. She really knows her fabrics and fit!

The whole experience was a joy and I know where I am getting my next special occassion dress!

Perfect dress, should have gotten alterations elsewhere

Buy your dress from P&L Bridal, but DO NOT LET SUSAN CHRISTOPHER ALTER IT. I bought a beautiful dress and had the hem shortened, the satin trim reattached, the sides taken in, and a sweetheart neckline added. After my initial consolation, fitting and then an emergency fitting to readdress problems I saw in the fitting I had my final fitting. I put the dress us on and was tugging at it trying to get it to fit right. I was told "pull your bust up", but my bust was already padded and pushed up to a C and the dress was still not laying right. I walked out thinking maybe after I got it home I could figure out a way to make it look better since I obviously couldn't mess around with the dress in the shop without being scolded. Once I tried on the dress at home I realized my hem was lop sided by an inch and a half, the satin had been reattached with bubbles in the fabric, the fabric on my sweetheart neckline was bubbled and did not lay flat, the lining had not been finished when the sides were taken in, and it looked like I was wearing a minimizer bra to flatten out my chest. I ended up taking my dress to another alterations lady. With only a week before my wedding I got the silhouette fixed so my bust didn't look squished, but the there was not enough time to fix everything. If only the alterations had been done correctly the first time. Poor workmanship is what you pay for with Susan Christopher. My beautiful dress looked better before I paid her $200. If you want your dress to look good, go somewhere else for alterations. In any case, you are better off getting a friend of a friend to do your sewing. She may have experience, but she is no professional. Her work and ability is limited. When I complained I was told I would get a refund. No refund came and now I am warning those who might trust her in the future.
