My name is Jae actually, not anonymous. I had never been to this location since living in both Zion & Gurnee. Now I'm in Waukegan & was driving around wondering what I wanted to eat, I tried this place spotting it as I drove down Washington St. I went in on a Saturday night, 8 pm hour, there were 2 customers just leaving so I didn't have to wait in a line. I ordered a large Hunan Chicken, minus the mushrooms, & celery, thankfully they make theirs with a thick brown sauce, some places make their sauce watery. It was only like a 10 minute wait. My food was SO GOOD! The best I've tasted thus far of all Chinese restaurants I've eaten at in Lake County! I'm going back 2nite! I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because like all the Chinese restaurants I've been to little rice is given. I had plenty of Hunan Chicken left over with no rice left. The portion is enough for 2 people 2 eat, but the 2nd person eating (u or whomever) would have a small amount. Also they don't serve the Hunan Chicken as a combination platter which is what I wanted, which added 2 my 4 star rating! Otherwise it would have been 5 stars! Just so you know I could not find a parking space so I parked in the schools lot in case the same happens to you.

Was hesitant at first to try new Chinese restaurant but after finally trying it was Delicious. The restaurant is small but clean & you can see right in the kitchen. The food was made fresh. I was very impressed with my dinner.

Horrible service! Thinking we had found a new local place to order from we were ecstatic. We had visited a couple of times & loved the food. After a misunderstanding with an order, instead of trying offer an explanation we receive a very rude answer and have the phone hung up on me. Will never return, this is not the way you treat customers.

I was a fan of another chinese restaurant nearby but after trying lucky food chinese restaurant, i was hooked. I go there about 3 times per week. Singapore angel hair specialis so good....

We just moved to the area from Chicago & I have to say this is GREAT Chinese food! Orange chicken, beef & broccoli, & lo mein are all wonderful. Great prices, awesome dinner specials that include fried rice & an egg roll (and is enough for 2+ meals). I hope Lucky Food stays around!

Wonderful Hot n Sour Soup. Hunan style dishes spicey and crisp. Clean, courteous service, new business.
