I've only had the opportunity to visit once, but Nick's Family Restaurant in downtown Vero Beach is a strong 4-star experience. Friendly staff and clean restrooms, service was quick and flawless. Restaurant and bar area were clean and well kept.

Bowl of Chili and a chicken salad on rye. Lunch special was $8.95. A dollar cheaper if you want a cup, versus a bowl of soup. My suggestion is to try the bowl.

A family style establishment, they recently started serving pizza. From what I hear, it's a great new addition to the menu at Nick's. Because of time constraints, I didn't have time to try it.

Nick's Family Restaurant is on my short list of Vero Beach establishments to try once again. Located on busy State Road 60 (20th Street), you can find parking in the back and even a rear entrance to the establishment.
