We rented a canoe from these people a year ago and one of the owners (an Asian man) was so rude to us (it was my husband, myself, and my father/step-mother here on vacation) we were treated like we were clueless, etc. We were nice, ready to have fun, etc. Once we got past this jerk we had a great time...



WELL today, we had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND HOPE THE PLACE GOES UNDER BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY ANY PLACE CAN SURVIVE LIKE THIS...



First, you make a reservation, BUT they never pick up the phone and you have to leave all of your info on their answering machine, then they call you on THEIR time WHICH WAS 3 DAYS LATER. My husband and I live 85 miles away, my mother is here for vacation and we were so excited to take her, so we take the 1 1/2 hr drive, pay the tolls and gas, our "reservation at this dumpy shack" was at 11am, we got there at 11:08 and the other owner (a black man who smiled like a jerk the whole time) said "due to us being late (8 minutes) you can't canoe". We honestly thought he was joking, YES we were a whole 8 minutes late, but after everything we did to get to them and have to pay $80.00 to rent a canoe, this guy was serious and would not let us go. This was on a Tuesday and their website states last canoe can leave at noon, when I told him that, he said "well, yes but you are still later for your appt and cannot go".



As the owner, his customer service was a JOKE and after last year having horrible customer service from the other owner, you would think this place would do everything they could to keep returning customers to bring money into their little business.



So this company should not have the monopoly on this spring for canoe rentals, someone up in Spring Hill should open a customer service friendly place and you would do really well. This is a beautiful trip on the river and unfortunately my mother never got to experience it, while at the same time my husband and I are moving back to Indiana next week and wanted one more trip.
