Should not carry the name of Joe dimaggio worst staff with bad attitudes and to top it off filled with 15 year old kids that should be in a regular emergency waiting room.. wasting doctors times who can be giving care to actual children ... lady at the front desk named Caren should not work at a hospital treated my 2 year old daughter who was throwing up with disgust and was very unsympathetic

I could have died

I went to this hospital because I had shortness of breath....when I got there they told me it was because I was 4 weeks pregnant!!! I didn't no I was pregnant and this was my first pregnancy, so they told me take Tylenol and go home.so I went home took Tylenol and it kept getting harder for me to breath.my friends told me there's no way a 4 week old baby can have you out of breath like this..so I didn't want to go back to the hospital cause I figured they wouldn't do anything. So I went to jackson memorial in Miami, they told me I could have died!!!! My lungs have blood in them and that's stopping me from breathing!!! I was shocked ..I'm just glad I came to jackson because they really took care of me.. I was in ICU for almost a week and couldn't breath on my own ..thank you so much jackson memorial u are the best...because of memorial I was close to dying!!! Worst hospital ever I would never go there even though my home is 5 minutes away..warning if u are in bad condition don't go there!!!

Worst! Don't go if you can avoid it

Worst hospital ever! I took my father into the ER after he was bit by a spider. His arm had gotten tangled in a sticky web and shortly after he developed a huge bump on his elbow that looked severely infected and developed a rash all over his body along with elevated blood pressure. All indications of a spider bite. The ER doctor was very young, seemed very unsure of himself and told us he thought the fact that all this developed right after my fathers run in with the spiderweb was a coincidence and not a spider bite. He said to follow up with a dermatologist. I think he was just an intern or something. My fathers blood pressure was 178 over 111. They discharged him without any care. Bedside manner was nonexistent. The staff was more concerned with having him pay his $65 copay and sign papers. Don't go here if you can avoid it. They are horrible!

Above average service in the Emergency Room

I went to the emergency room with abdominal pain. I waited a little less than thirty minutes to get into triage.

After triage I waited about ten to fifteen more minutes until I was taken back into the emergency area. The place was so crowded that people were stationed in the walk area around the emergency desk. I was at station K. A friendly employee talked to me and took my information and told me the name of my doctor.

I waited about an hour before I was taken for a CT scan which took less than ten minutes (no waiting in radiology).

When I returned, it took about another forty five minutes for the doctor to read the results and come and talk to me. He explained exactly what my problem was and prescribed two pain killers for me to take immediately and some other prescriptions for me to fill at the pharmacy.

I waited about ten minutes for the pain killers to arrive. They had me wait about an hour before releasing me.

The entire visit lasted about four hours, which considering the overcrowded state, was reasonable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor was knowledgeable and took the time to sit and talk with me about my condition.
