Provided by YP.comI would not recommend taking an animal here. Despite their "goal" they are not a no kill facility.
I regretfully say that we allowed them to take our boxer. We were told that if he was upset, he would be given a
shot to calm him down.HE WAS NOT GIVEN THIS. We were told that they would do everything they could for him and if they couldnt find him a home, he would go into a rescue program where he would be rehabilitated, given any medical care he needed, and found a suitable home for him. The reason we turned him over is because he bit my grandmother, not to hurt her because everyone knows the actual power a boxer has. He could have killed her if he wanted to and he barely broke skin.
Common sense would tell you that if you take a dog from a loving home into that environment, he will be upset for a while. We were told that he ATTEMPTED to bite a few times. Common sense would also tell you to take the necessary precautions with a boxer that is obviously upset. All he needed was a young male to take him on and train him, someone that could establish and keep dominance over him. He was a very lovable and playful member of our family. And now, hes gone, without even as much as a courtesy call. With a courtesy call, we would've went and got him. They KILLED him the SAME DAY they brought him in because he was upset. They wont be honest with you. They will kill on breed alone. He wasnt given the chance we were promised.
So in closing, please, do your research before you take an animal there. There are rescue programs out there that you surrender your dog too directly, that know how to deal with your breed. This facility talks about respecting and loving animals, hell even their title is "SAVE CENTER", what they did to our dog, was INHUMANE and CRUEL and there was never an attempt at saving him.
