Inept Dental Shyster

Watson had been my dentist since 2003. I recently moved outside Fayettevile and had an emergency which Watson's staff guaranteed me they would be able to perform a temporary procedure to alleviate my tooth pain. They scheduled me an appointment in 5 days. After travelling 170 miles to Fayetteville, Watson came in and said there was nothing he could do and charged me $100 for doing absolutely NOTHING. A total waste of my time, gas and money. I called the ECU School of Dentistry in Davidson County and the expert staff there scheduled me an appointment that very same day. The dentist remedied my tooth pain and did a very professional job cosmetically for only $100. Watson has definite limitations in his dental abilities, but no limitations in taking your money. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend Watson Family Dentistry to no one. I do, however, highly recommend the ECU School of Dentistry, which have multiple office locations throughout North Carolina. Real professionals, very reasonably priced.

Puposeful overcharging...watch out if you are a self pay patient!

This dentist started by claiming my child had cavities at every other six month visit. I became suspicious, and when I went in recently and was given a 730 dollar treatment write up for three cavities (after 2 cavities six month prior) I knew something was wrong. We are self pay and he does not have to establish verification with an insurance company when charging us. My youngest had been seeing him because he needed a pediatric dentist. I took my child to our family dentist today and found that there was only one small cavity as I suspected. The other two were small sealant repairs only. Our bill was 300! I do want to say the staff is wonderful in his office. I am sad that this has happened because my son loved his hygienist. Yet I do not appreciate being taken advantage of as well as being willing to fill my child's mouth with unwanted repairs for extra money.

Dr. Watson is a provider for United Concordia insurance so he charges exactly what United Concordia tells him to. My family has been going to him since he opened and has never had any problems. His staff is very helpful and informed. It sounds like FayettevilleSoldier doesn't understand the concept of a "copay" which is dictated by United concordia as well. Sour grapes! Dr Watson has always been wonderful with my children and all of our friends. I have referred MANY people to him and they have all been thrilled. Any new military familys he is a must! It is wonderful that he is a United Concordia provider because the cost is set and doesn't change and is extremely less than non provider dentists. Interesting to see a negative post by an anonymous author. No way even possible what he describes could be true. Sorry, just saw that moronic post and had to chime in! Michelle P

Overcharging for United Concordia Insurance

This Dentist will give you services and then have you pay your share and file claim with insurance and then send you a second bill. They did it to me twice.
