If you Google "dog swallows penny" you will get the worst horror stories imaginable. Well, that is exactly what our small silky terrier did and his outlook was not good at all. Dr. Katie Linderman phoned me with the bad news and tried to prepare me for what was to come. Boomer had swallowed 3 pennies and the toxic zinc had already poisoned his system very badly. The staff at Standifer Gap Pet Hospital stepped up and took Boomer on as the ultimate challenge. They loved and nurtured him and after 7 days of constant care, he was able to come home. He has been home a week now and is recovering so rapidly. They allowed me visits as often as I wanted. They were so attached to him by the end of his stay that I actually saw a tear or two. Dr. Linderman loves her patients and is dedicated to their well being. They come first with the entire staff.
