John did wonders with my Chow mix female. Within minutes of their first meeting, she went from barking and lungeing at the door to quietly sitting at his feet. He worked extensively with her on aggression, listening, on fear of people and taught me how to safely manage the behaviors I couldn't change. He really "speaks dog".

We've trained 2 sets of dogs with John at Dog Help Training. He uses the Dog Master method which incorporates an instrument to get the attention of the dogs and a response. He does great work, is patient with the animals and their parents. He'll do home visits or you can go to the kennel for training. For every 'regular' training session you do, he gives you a free group class which gets your dogs into a whole new environment. Training dogs can get expensive over the long term, but having them do what you want them to do when you want them to do it is, as they say, 'priceless'. Whole-hearted recommendation.

The dog training technique used helped turn an unruly German Shepherd into an obedient, loyal, and very loveable pet. The trainer taught us about our dog's behavior, body language, and habits; why dogs do what they do. Our first meeting with John: he came to our home, ofcourse my dog went nuts! With in 5 - 10 minutes (not an exaggeration) John had my dog calmed down and laying at his feet waiting for the next lesson!! This was done with body language, and positive reinforcement- not yelling, scolding. All the while he was talking to us explaining the unique training method he uses. The price was very affordable. The classes are given on his farm. Individual training, and then, later, training with other dogs around for socialization. I am very pleased with this trainer and highly recommend him to anyone with dogs regardless of their age.
