These guys are great! When I lost my job a few weeks ago I checked out this pawn shop and was relieved that they helped me..and fast! I know other places in the Los Angeles metro area said they would pay me the best price, but the guys at Gem and Loan came through like the other guys didn't. Thanks GUYS! :)

First of all, I had never been to a pawnshop and it was not what i expected. There were no crappy TV's or beat-up drum sets. It is pretty much a jewelery store that will buy your gold, diamond jewelry or whatever. I had a necklace that my old girlfriend had given me and it was sitting in a drawer for years. Its pretty heavy (24 grams) but i was surprised at how much i got for it! The manager, Michael, told me gold has nearly tripled in value since my ex bought the chain. While I was there, I checked out a couple of watches and i was again surprised. They had a pretty good selection (i was looking at a TAG) and the one I looked at looked like new. But what I liked most was how i was treated. Michael took the time to educate me and answered all my questions. I will definitely be back and i would recommend Gem and Loan to anyone looking for some quick cash.
