I took the ladies night out class for beginners and brought my mom. The class was very informative. Randy is funny and has a passion for his job. The guys were great and gave us the attention that we needed. I really appreciate all of the extra time they spent helping my mom because she hasn't shot a gun in almost 50 years, thanks Dean. If you are a first time shooter or just want extra training you should take their classes. They have more classes than anyone in the STL area. I live 45 minutes away but will definitely be back! I wish they offered more weekend classed because I can't get there in time for a class during the week. Thanks again guys, I'll see you soon (without mom)!

Been here a couple times now and happy with the service each time. Staff is always professional and equipment is good.

Great Facility



My wife and I along with our 6 and 8 y/o girls went to Ultimate defense today for the first time. I was very happy the way the staff treated us. They placed us in a lane where the girls could watch us shoot and even found 2 stools for them to sit on. The shooting lanes were very well lit and the price to shoot was not bad at all. More than all the above it was not 100 degrees inside the shooting lanes. I was at a different gun range last week and within 5 minutes I had sweat running down my face and within 15 minutes my wife and I were so miserable we had to leave. We will be back to Ultimate again.

I expressed concerns to the owner of this establishment and was sent one in return that was unprofessional and the equivalent of a two year old having a tantrum. I will be taking my business to Metro shooting supplies.

Great facility! As a newbie to shooting, I find this to be the place to go. The staff is super helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. The facility is a one-stop-shopping center for everything you need. They offer classes weekly and rentals so that you can take your time to find out whats right for you. I can't say enough great things about it!

Kings of the "Bait And Switch" post a price in the cabinet and when you get to the register "SURPRISE", then they get ignorant about it. I'll spend my money somewhere else!

My first experience here was almost three weeks ago, at an auction held to sell off some of their rental guns. I was disappointed.



I ended up waiting about two hours from the time I got in line to the time I actually checked out. I realize the auction was not normal business traffic for them, but they ought to have been better prepared than this.



Worse yet, the pistol I bought, a former rental gun at their store, had a damaged barrel locking block when I brought it home. I assumed that a gun they had rented out would be in good working order, but they sold it this way without any mention of the damage. I wondered how long they had been renting it out that way. Either they didn't know about the damage--and they certainly should have--or they knew about it and didn't say anything (and possibly rented it out that way).



I will probably not be back.

Clean facility, knowledgable staff and fun for the experienced and beginning shooter.

Highly recommended! Excellent place for new or experienced pistol owners. Store and range can be busy at times, but staff handle those times well. Staff seems to be mostly law enforcement professionals and they handle themselves in professional manner. The other range in STL does not even compare in facilities or staff professionalism.
