I couldn’t be more impressed with this place! I had to take my new mama there last night because she was feverish and lethargic. Her breast had became tender and swollen. They got us in super fast and gave me a honest evaluation on everything from cost to care of my Rottweiler. No unnecessary medication or fees. They treated her in a way that she could continue feeding her 10 babies! Dr Waldron and Lisa are so caring and they take time to listen and understand the situation fully. Not only that but they gave me options to save money on the late night visit. I can’t say enough good stuff about them. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping my sweet Bella!

One unhappy person does not tell the whole story. I found this practice to be professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all, they saved my dog. So, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Buyer beware! If your pet does get the attention of a vet you should do ok. However, there is a Godzilla tech that works there, whose life/death decision power has gone to her head.



She does not have the common courtesy to inform & suggest "other options" upon calling nor upon arrival. She lets your pet suffer for 1 1/2 hours before STRONGLY SUGGESTING that you leave & pursue other options. Callous Tech! I would not believe it if it had not happened to me.

My pet is like my child. My Vets office referred my animal for overnight care at BVS. I was given the referral and the doctors orders of care for my pet. Step by step instructions of the meds to be given ect...BVS handed me a $1,500+ estimate of the things they wanted to do for my pet. Most of which I had already had done earlier and payed for at my Vets office. They also discussed horrible scenarios of things that could occur and that just made things worse. I just felt that they were trying to sell me on so many levels. Just follow the orders given by another professional and leave your money making schemes and scare tactics off heart broken owners out of the equation. I was not happy with the entire situation and we all know there are people out there who you just can't make happy... I am not one of those people. I felt strong armed into believing what they were trying to make me believe. I DO NOT recommend this place "unless" your pet just got hit by a MAC truck and it's after hrs!

Dr. R and staff were amazing- they treated our pug for six months, as he endured cancer, chemo, etc. BVS was compassionate, provided amazing care, and we know their treatment not only added months to his time with us, but improved his quality of life greatly during that time.

Dr Rhadhakrishnan is the best vet i have ever been to. I started taking my dog to him in dec 2012 for a mast cell tumor and he is currently on chemo. He is super intelligent!! He takes his time either in the office or on phone calls. He is very compassionate with my dog. I am very thankful i took my dog to him.

BVS treated my dog for 2 weeks. I spent over $1500. I called the clinic on Sat. to report she was much worse & I was going to have to put her to sleep unless something changed quickly. No one ever called me back to check on her, offer sympathy, etc. It has been very upsetting to me. I have waited 4 weeks to write this. I feel very betrayed.

Absolutely the best clinic in town. Dr. Antu is the nicest and most thorough Vet we have talked to in many years. He is very patient and understanding with your questions and a genuine caring attitude. He even personally calls back to check on your pet.

This is really one of the best places ever. I was so impressed with the entire staff. Dr. Radhakrishnan is an amazing person, and really cares about the animals. He saved my dog's life when almost all hope was lost. If only, I could find a family practitioner that cares as much as Dr. Radhakrishnan and his staff at Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists. This is truly the best place to go for you and your animals.
