Gift-certificate donation We will donate annual gift certificates for any Triangle non-profit organization involved in promoting the welfare of children. Many schools, daycares, churches, and volunteer organizations use the gift certificates to raise money during auctions, raffles, and other fundraising events. Information about the proposed use of the gift certificate can be dropped off at the store. The Play House is pleased to give these gift certificates, but does reserve the right to refuse a request. School Fundraiser Week The annual School Fundraiser Week at The Play House is our opportunity to give real money to our local schools and daycare providers. Instead of us deciding who to donate the money to, we let our customers decide. Here's how it works: Customers shop at The Play House during a designated week in November. At the time of purchase, we'll ask the customer if he or she would like us to make a 10% donation to their child's school. Your shopping gets done early and your child's school gets a cash donation. We'll even wrap your purchases for you so there won't be any peeking! Over 500 area schools, preschools and daycares receive information annually to participate in this fundraiser. If you would like to be sure your child's school is participating, have the director, principal, or fundraiser coordinator at your school contact us for more information. And remember to shop during the fundraiser week, and bring a friend to support our schools! Donna Frederick Donna joined The Play House staff in 1995. She came to us from New York City and the world of clothing design. She has had fun creating little clothes for our dolls at the special request of customers and has a few samples of hand-painted T-shirts and beautifully tailored doll clothes in the store. Donna is unflappable and can talk about any toy with you. Sandra Churchill Sandra has worked at a local toy store through two owners and many transitions. Mother of two school-age boys, her extensive experience with the customers and products is invaluable to us.
