Be very careful of any x-ray which might indicate a growth or cyst in dog's sinus. I was referred

to Advanced Medical in Tustin for evalution. They

did a rhinoscopy which showed no growth whatsoever. They did a bronchoscopy which showed some bacteria and Rx'd antibiotic.

Plus a long trip from my home to Tustin where

I was a wreck. The doctor at Tustin was great

but, if Dr, Emswiller had offered to check my

dog's lungs, I would have been spared all

this HUGE expense. I guess they are so cavalier about charging high prices and not

giving seniors the former discount, that they feel we are all rich old widows and can be

exploited. I will not be going back there.

I shopped around a lot when I moved to the desert and was suprised to find that they were less expensive than most other vets in the area and have a nice, clean office. I see this place has received many rave reviews but a few terrible ones. Unfortunately, I'm part of the latter. This hospital seems to be so ready to take your money and release it only for it to die later. I had a cat that was only 2 years old. They brought up some faulty charges for it and it died. Why release an animal if you choose not to monitor it and give a fair evaluation. My family recently lost their dog of 8 years due to what can only seem to be an incompetent staff. There are much better places to take your beloved pet rather than this second rate establishment.

I have been going here with my animals for 6 years and I am always incredibly happy with my services. My animals are always very happy when they walk in the door and the staff is very friendly. I HIGHLY recommend Desert Dunes to any pet lover

I have been bringing my pets there for the last 10 years and always had the best service. I had my baby Dewey spayed there and everything went really easy. Dewey had no problems at all after the spay. Thank you desert dunes for taking care of my beloved Dewey!

I brought in my dog December 12th to be examined. Lucy had been short of breath, lethargic, generally not herself. I waited a couple hours while tests were run. All tests came back favorable or inconclusive. I was sent home with antibiotics and a cough suppressant. The antibiotics seemed to help, but only marginally, and Lucy never returned back to normal. Tragically, Lucy passed away in the early morning of the 22nd, and just having finished the antibiotic prescription. Although the sincerity and customer service that followed the examination (staff called for several days following the appointment to follow up), I do think that from a veterinary standpoint someone should have asked further questions from a case involving an animal with problematic symptoms yet returned all normal test results. More thinking outside the box and less cure with a pill protocol. Perhaps this could have changed the nature of this review.

Glad to report my son is doing great and we since have continued going to desert dunes animal hospital after this episode because I didnt feel as if they wanted to do stuff just to make a buck. I was even able to visit during his stay. His cage was always full of blankies and clean money well spent!

I think the staff at this hospital is wonderful!

I have a new "rescue dog", and I was pleased with the free health check performed by Dr. Huston on her after she had been spayed there.

I have been a customer for 10 years since we moved to the Desert. Experience has always been wonderful. I appreciate the times, you remove a exam and/or ear flushing.
